Yes! Presently, Trial Boom's first case, The People v. John Wilkes Booth, is accredited for 8 General CLE credits in the state of Colorado. We will be updating this webpage as the J.W. Presently, Trial Boom: The People v. John Wilkes Booth is accredited for 8 General CLE credits only in the state of Colorado. We will be updating this webpage as the J.W. Booth case and other Trial Boom cases and products are granted CLE accreditation in Colorado and other states. If you are an attorney not from Colorado seeking CLE credits, please subscribe to our e-mail list, and be the first to know when Trial Boom is CLE accredited in your state.

You can find your state's CLE course ID number upon launching the Trial Boom courtroom simulator application and logging in. You can also find the CLE course ID numbers at the beginning of the downloadable Evidence Manual, which is located below the download screen after you purchase the CLE version of Trial Boom. If you still can't find the CLE Course ID, please Contact Us.

The Student version of Trial Boom is the most interactive and practical legal educational tool for visualizing, learning, and applying the rules of evidence. Not only are you able to make contemporaneous objections to thousands of different questions and answers in a 3-D virtual courtroom, but you also have immediate access to pinpoint explanations through the Sidebar feature and general reference material through the Evidence Manual.
Trial Boom will help you (a) ace evidence questions on the Bar exam, (b) get an "A" in your Evidence class, (c) win your mock trial tournament, and (d) sharpen your advocacy skills, so that you can gain a leg up on the competition before you become a licensed attorney.

The CLE version of Trial Boom is worth 8 General CLE credits in the state of Colorado. Rather than basking in the boredom of passively watching poor-quality video recordings or listening to those decade-old, monotone CD recordings in the car on the way to work, you can earn CLE with Trial Boom!
Beyond earning CLE, Trial Boom is a legal tool that can help any attorney stay up to date on the rules of evidence and courtroom procedure. If you're about to jump on a litigation matter but haven't opened up the F.R.E. in a few years, Trial Boom is for you. If you're looking for ways to practice those on-your-toes, contemporaneous objections before you take first-chair in an actual trial, Trial Boom is for you. If you're already an evidence guru, but you want to prove it to your colleagues, then you better get Trial Boom and earn that perfect score.

The CLE version of Trial Boom is CLE accredited, whereas the Student version is not. The CLE version is geared towards practicing attorneys of all levels and practice areas and is also comprised of more robust and thorough legal written materials, which are available for download upon purchase of the CLE version. The Student version is geared specifically towards high school, undergraduate, and law school students participating in mock trial, enrolled in an Evidence course, and/or preparing for the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE).

After purchasing either the Student or CLE version of Trial Boom, you will have access to a downloadable "How-To-Play" document that describes all of the mechanics of play in detail. The same "How-To-Play" instructions are also accessible from the homepage of the Trial Boom application. We strongly recommend that you read the How-To-Play instructions before starting a new trial.

The Sidebar feature is accessible in one of two ways. The first way is automatic, whereas the second way is manual. Whenever the Co-Counsel feature is triggered, you can expect to see the Sidebar content automatically display on screen, as long as there is Sidebar content associated with that specific question or answer. If no Sidebar content is available for that question or answer, the Sidebar pop-up will not display.
Alternatively, at any time during an exam, you can select the "Transcript" icon in the top left of the screen next to the Evidence Manual icon. Selecting the Transcript will, of course, show you the court transcript from the beginning of the exam. From here, you will be able to access all of the Sidebar content for any previous question or answer that has Sidebar content associated with it. If a question or answer has a Sidebar explanation, a small gavel icon with the words "Sidebar" next to it will appear right after the question or answer in the Transcript. Just click on that "Sidebar" icon, and the explanation will immediately appear on the screen.
For more information on how to access and make the most out of the Sidebar feature, refer to the Sidebar tab in the How-To-Play instructions, accessible from the home screen within the Trial Boom application.

All Trial Boom exams and cases are created, drafted, and edited by experienced trial attorneys and/or distinguished law school professors. Made by attorneys for attorneys (and students). You can read more about the authors on our blog.

Right now, we just have one case with 4 witnesses available for purchase and download: The People v. John Wilkes Booth. However, we are rapidly developing and creating more witnesses (including experts) to add to the Booth case, as well as new civil cases and modular exams with a focus on expert-specific training.

The Trial Boom Courtroom Simulator is Trial Boom's first product, but we are currently developing other intelligent legal products for both attorneys and students of all skill levels. To stay up to date on all of Trial Boom's latest and greatest technology, please subscribe to our email list.
